Lana Venable | Project Manager
Project Manager Lana Venable is recognized as one of the leading communications professionals in the industry. A graduate of LSU, Lana is a strategic thinker, skilled communicator, decisive leader, and diplomatic problem-solver with twenty-five years’ experience in communications and stakeholder engagement, including more than a decade as public and government advisor for ExxonMobil. She has a proven track record of cultivating effective relationships with community leaders, elected officials, policy makers and other key influencers to achieve advocacy goals.
Lana’s other prior experience includes serving as press secretary for Louisiana Economic Development following Hurricane Katrina, acting as primary spokesperson for the department. She has also held government relations director positions for both the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association in Louisiana. Upon graduation from LSU, she held volunteer management, fundraising and event planning positions with other non-profit organizations in Washington, D.C. and Atlanta. A member of the Public Relations Society of America and the Public Relations Association of Louisiana, Lana also serves as a volunteer instructor in media relations/crisis communications.
